What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager of Training & Education position at LIFE Pittsburgh?
Description
About LIFE Pittsburgh
LIFE Pittsburgh, a growing nonprofit organization with approximately 400 employees, is a community-based alternative to nursing home care and assisted living. Through the LIFE Pittsburgh program, frail older adults can remain in their own home and receive a coordinated plan of care that enables them to maintain their independence and enjoy a safe and active life in the community. Our health teams of geriatric physicians and nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, rehabilitation specialists and other health care professionals assess our Participants' needs and desires, plan and approve services with them and their family or caregiver, monitor for changes and provide timely interventions. Primary care and community services are provided through our Day Health Centers and through our in-home program according to an individual Participant's needs.
What We Offer
This role is responsible for assessing organizational training needs and developing both formal and informal education programs that enhance staff performance, support regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of continuous learning. The Manager will work collaboratively with leadership across departments to ensure training initiatives align with CMS, the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, OSHA, HIPAA, and LIFE Pittsburgh’s internal standards of excellence.
We’re looking for a mission-driven educator who is not only experienced in adult learning principles, but also passionate about creating engaging content and empowering staff to deliver exceptional care. A background in nursing or clinical care is especially exciting and brings valuable insight to staff development in our interdisciplinary care model.
