Job Overview
We are seeking an ambitious, full-time, athletic director to join our awesome teaching staff in making an impact on the next generation!
Duties
- Provide visionary leadership and oversight for all elementary, middle, and high school athletic programs, ensuring alignment with the overall mission of LCA.
- Recruit, hire, and evaluate coaches, fostering a culture of excellence, sportsmanship, and spiritual growth among athletes.
- Manage athletic department operations, including scheduling practices and games, securing facilities, arranging transportation, and ensuring compliance with IHSAA regulations.
- Oversee the athletic budget, including purchasing equipment, uniforms, and coordinating fundraising efforts in conjunction with the LCA Booster Club.
- Work closely with administration to develop policies, ensure student eligibility, and promote academic excellence among athletes.
- Organize and facilitate athletic events, including tournaments, and awards ceremonies.
- Maintain records of athletic achievements, eligibility, and compliance with school and state regulations.
- Commit to working significant after-school hours for games, practices, meetings, and other athletic department needs.
Experience
- A proven track record with organizational leadership, written and oral communication skills, and people management is required.
- Candidates with a bachelors degree or higher are preferred.
- Candidates with an IDOE teaching license or the ability to obtain one are preferred.
