JOB TITLE : Accounting & Administrative Assistant
DEPARTMENT : Administrative Support
REPORTS TO : Director of Operations & Head of School
FLSA STATUS : Non-exempt
This position is expected to start in late Spring / early Summer.
JOB SUMMARY
To ensure that all school processes are conducted in a highly professional manner and on a timely basis. To perform related clerical and financial duties in order to help advance the mission and vision of Lighthouse Christian School.
Position is approximately 70% accounting and 30% administrative support.

Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
Proven ability to work independently and in a team.
Oversight and management of AP inbox and communications
Reconcile and maintains reporting of company credit card transactions
Regularly prepares bank deposits
Assists with annual audit
Oversee accounts receivable, including invoicing and collection of payment from tenants or other miscellaneous entities
Completes all month end incidental billing
Assists with month end duties including journal entries, reconciliations, updating excel reports
Provides budget and other reports to administration and staff as requested
Processing employee expense reimbursements
Ability to create and maintain an efficient filing (physical & electronic) system
Partner with Development department to manage and reconcile donor financial giving through various platforms
Serve as backup payroll administrator
Train staff as needed related to financial procedures and processes
Serves parents in financial matters
Contact and collect on delinquent accounts
HUMAN RESOURCES
Schedules interviews
Assists with reference checks
Assists with candidate communication and follow-up
Maintenance and regular updates of employee personnel files
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANCE
Provides support for LCS events
Participates and assists with coordination of staff meetings
Filtering, drafting, editing, and responding to emails on behalf of the Head of School
Managing Head of School calendar, scheduling appointments, prioritizing sensitive matters, and reminders
Performs duties as assigned by the Director of Operations, Director of Human Resources & Head of School
Operate independently as well as function within a team
Anticipate needs and take initiative
WORK REQUIREMENTS
Full-time, year-round position, flexible hours during summer
Hourly wage, as outlined in the annual at-will employment agreement
Attend school-wide / team meetings, and other events (e.g. In-service, professional development, orientation, etc.) as required
Participate in meetings, devotions, professional learning community and Inservice as required

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Born-again Christian and credible Christian role model whose godly lifestyle and character demonstrate obedience to God and the Holy Scriptures. Active member of an evangelical Trinitarian church.
Accepts and supports the school's statement of faith and indicates a continuing sense of God's direction in working at Lighthouse Christian School.
The ability to work efficiently with a service-oriented attitude under stressful situations with constant interruption.
Maintain excellent personal relations with staff and the public at large.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Possess keen sense of judgment & discretion, have attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Comfortable calling individuals for financial related conversations.
Computer experience on various software systems including MS Office, QuickBooks, etc.; expert in office automation.
At least one year of clerical, office assistant, and / or entry level accounting experience preferred.
