AM Communications is seeking an experienced Construction Operations Manager. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of cable and fiber installation industry. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day field operations for your assigned team of technicians and contract partners. Some of the core responsibilities include mentoring & up-training field technicians, maintaining metrics for assigned team, managing lead technicians. As Construction Operations Manager, you will be expected to uphold the company's principles including integrity, quality, teamwork, and customer experience always. This position will require frequent travel with all travel expenses paid for by AM Communications.
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the following tasks:
- Supervising local lead technicians and field technicians and other individuals or groups as determined by local management.
- Developing and promoting a team atmosphere and ensuring the proper support is provided to each technician within the operation.
- The Cable and Fiber Operations Manager will have direct contact with the local MSO, our customer. It is important that these relationships are maintained and developed.
- Manage workloads and routing to ensure proper efficiencies based on local market guidelines.
- Managing day-to-day field operations for a assigned team, communicating with other members of local support staff, resolving issues and ensuring no technician is left out later than necessary.
- Ensuring that AM Communications is in compliance with all field related performance metrics.
- Enforce company safety practices by completing random safety site inspections.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
AM Communications was established in 2002 and is a rapidly growing, telecommunications company with a footprint across the U.S. holding prime contracts for large MSO’s.
Requirements
- Must have a valid drivers license and meet AM Communications MVR qualifications.
- Ability to pass a nationwide background check and drug screen.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- SCTE or NCTI Membership and/or Certificate are preferred.
- A minimum of 2-year cable or related industry experience required.
- Previous leadership experience in cable or related industry

- Must be able to lift/push/pull/carry up to 80 pounds.
