Reports To: Senior Manager, Tech Service Desk

Job Overview:

As a world-renowned cultural institution, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (LCPA) is dedicated to presenting exceptional performing arts experiences to audiences. The Technology Services department plays a pivotal role in the successful execution of events and performances across nearly every artistic form and genre, from free educational programming to large-scale, multi-day corporate activations. This team serves Lincoln Center’s iconic venues—including Alice Tully Hall, David Geffen Hall, and Damrosch Park—as well as other off-campus and outdoor spaces.

The IT Operations Technician provides critical day-to-day support for the hardware, software, and asset management needs of LCPA staff. This role ensures smooth IT service delivery by managing device lifecycle and performing hardware break-fix support. The IT Operations Technician also contributes to documentation, troubleshooting, and cross-team collaboration to improve IT service efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Primary point of contact for key software support, assisting users with system access and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain and manage Device Lifecycle & Asset Management, ensuring IT hardware is tracked, maintained, and retired per lifecycle management guidelines.
  • Provide Hardware Break-Fix Support, diagnosing and repairing faulty IT equipment, coordinating vendor repairs, and replacing defective components.
  • Provide backup support for event IT tasks, mobile devices, and Mac/PC troubleshooting.
  • Act as the Backup dispatcher for service incidents, ensuring continuity during absences.
  • Collaborate with the Service Desk team to identify opportunities for process improvement and enhanced user support.
  • Assist with maintaining compliance with organizational IT policies and procedures.
  • Participate in system monitoring and maintenance activities as needed.


Qualifications: Education and Experience

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3 years of experience in IT operations, support, or a related field.


Technical Skills

  • Proven experience supporting Windows and macOS operating systems in an enterprise environment.
  • Proficiency in managing key software platforms such as Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar.
  • Experience with MDM solutions such as Microsoft Intune or Jamf.
  • Strong knowledge of IT asset management tools and best practices.
  • Experience performing hardware troubleshooting and break-fix support.
  • Proven experience with networking concepts, including Wi-Fi, VLANs, and DHCP.
  • Familiarity with IT service management tools such as ServiceNow or similar.


Soft Skills

  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to work effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.
  • High attention to detail, particularly with documentation and hardware tracking.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams to optimize IT service workflows and efficiency.
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented approach to IT challenges.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • CompTIA Network or similar certification.
  • Experience with IT asset tracking and hardware lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with IT service management best practices.


Working Conditions

  • This role requires availability during standard business hours, with occasional evening or weekend support for events or critical incidents.
  • Primarily on-site at LCPA with limited remote work opportunities.
