Compensation
Full- and Part-time positions available for all shifts, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. $13-15 per hour, depending on your level of education and number of subjects you can tutor. Employee positions are available in our Tampa and Tempe offices.
Responsibilities
This is an Online Tutoring position. We will put you through our world-class training to help you become one of our world-class tutors. This is a student-centric job because students are our heroes, and we do everything we can to support their academic growth. We support students at all levels of K-12 and college. Strong academic background in the specific tutoring area, and patience in working with students for whom learning does not come easily, should come naturally.
You will also work directly with the NetTutor management team, tutors, and students to help us provide efficient and quality tutoring 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
Tutoring is live 1-on-1 and asynchronous paper review tutoring for writing across the curriculum, done on an easy-to-use online whiteboard. You will have constant access to our mentors and tech support, with regular quality review and feedback.
No selling. We partner with over 1,000 educational institutions; our students will seek your help.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is required with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the tutoring subjects (advanced degrees pay more)
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills required
- Ability to type 40 words per minute
- Need to be smart and can think on your feet
- Self-starter, motivated, team oriented, curious
- Ability to teach yourself new things
- Ability to multi-task
- Goal oriented, take pride in your work
