Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Supervise assigned projects, directing the work of 5 technicians and ensuring daily goals are met.
- Plan site manpower needs and manage material and labor through job completion.
- Set crew objectives, track progress, and report updates to management.
- Ensure compliance with HR, safety, and company policies while meeting project deadlines.
- Maintain technical, quality, and profitability standards , ensuring top-level customer satisfaction.
- Oversee account coordination, including direct customer interaction and issue resolution.
- Prepare and communicate status reports , keeping customers and Project Managers informed.
- Expertise in cabling standards with the ability to lead projects, delegate tasks, and supervise teams of 5 technicians .
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and managing all aspects of project planning .
- Strong communication skills (written & verbal) with a focus on accurate timesheet management and efficiency.
- Terminate jacks, patch panels, 66/110 blocks , and follow 568A/B color codes .
- Use Fluke testers to verify connections and troubleshoot voice/data issues.
- Install and configure switches, routers, modems, and wireless access points .
- Work with category cable, COAX, fiber (RG6, RG11, RG59) , build out closets, and operate Hilti guns, hammer drills, band saws, and power tools .
- Ability to lift/carry/setup a 50 pound box or ladder.
- Must own low voltage tools (snips, strippers, screwdrivers, wrenches)
- Able to work 2nd/3rd shift, overtime, and under pressure.
- Must pass a 7-year background check, drug screen, and physical.
- Requires valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance
- Professional working proficiency in English
- BICSI Technician or Installation Certification
- OSHA 10
- Powder Actuated Tools Certification
- Confined Space Certification
- CPR and First Aid certified
- Manufacturers certifications for Installation and Maintenance
- Lift Certified
- High School diploma, Associate’s degree or technical degree a plus
$24.00 - $35.00/ hr
