Summary of Position
Lionsgate is currently seeking a full-time Sales Manager in our Domestic Theatrical Distribution department. The ideal candidate should have strong attention to detail, organization skills and interpersonal skills. This individual will report to the Senior Vice President, Theatrical Distribution and work both independently and collaboratively with the domestic sales team as well as additional teams across Lionsgate to ensure successful distribution of Lionsgate’s films. Additionally, our team follows a hybrid work from home schedule.
Responsibilities
- Help plan and implement a distribution strategy for Lionsgate’s films in theatres nationwide
- Work with exhibitors like AMC Theatres, Regal Cinemas. Cinemark Theatres and Harkins Theatres etc to develop and implement in-theatre promotions, marketing campaigns and overall exhibitor support
- Maintain weekly holdovers and confirm upcoming bookings for theatrical titles with exhibitors like AMC Theatres, Regal Cinemas, Cinemark Theatres and Harkins Theatres etc
- Analyze theater and film performance for the purpose of planning and negotiating with exhibitors like AMC Theatres, Regal Cinemas, Cinemark Theatres and Harkins Theatres etc
- Set, coordinate and manage premiere, research, promotional, word of mouth and trade screenings
- Assess and negotiate film rental payments
- Work directly with the finance team to invoice & manage cash collection, directly handle any issues with national and regional exhibitors
- Attend regional and national conventions such as CinemaCon Las Vegas, Show East Miami, and Show South Atlanta as required
Qualifications and Skills
- An understanding of theatrical distribution and/or exhibition is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred but not mandatory, will train a recent graduate or candidate with 1-2 years of experience in a similar field
- Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel, Word, Outlook and MS Teams)
- Very organized and capable of multi-tasking in a high energy and fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical skills (market research and analysis) and attention to detail
- Team player and independent worker with the ability to meet strict deadlines
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills – must be adept at liaising with high level executives internally and externally
