Montessori School in Edison, NJ seeks highly motivated Administrator for a temporary position (12-15 weeks). We are seeking qualified administrative assistant to work in the school office. This position is a key role in the daily operations, office support, help with distributing school lunch, maintaining student records, coordinating events, and building rapport with parents, students, and staff. Primary Responsibilities
- Provide front of house office and administrative support to families, staff, and students
- Administer and collect student forms for all students, such as medical records, school policy documents, lunch menus, emergency contact cards
- Enter data and maintain student information up to date in our school database systems
- Create and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical as needed
- Maintain all state regulations documents in central binder
- Execute and send lunch menus and monthly newsletters
- Execute monthly/quarterly supply orders such as office supplies/paper/toner and snacks
- Ensure the office is clean and organized.
- Assist with answering calls and greeting visitors to the school
- Monitor daily arrival/dismissal and assign other tasks in support of fulfillment of the school's mission.
- Coordinate communications/notices home to parents.
- Assists with Admissions and other specified school events including staff meetings
- Assist in scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars using gmail and google calendar
- Other additional tasks assigned by the school to ensure operational efficiency
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED
- Strong computer skills, including a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Competency in Zoom, Google Classroom, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Slides and Gmail
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Excellent typing skills
- Excellent public speaking skills – MUST be able to speak at small to large events (20 to 900 people)
