Position Overview:
Little Fox CDC is seeking a motivated and passionate Summer Camp Teacher to join our team for the upcoming summer camp season. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children and has a love for creating a positive and engaging learning environment. The Summer Camp Teacher will be responsible for providing a fun, safe, and nurturing environment for children ages 5-10, facilitating crafts, activities, and outdoor play, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and Execute Activities: Develop and lead engaging, educational, and age-appropriate activities and crafts that promote creativity, learning, and physical activity.
- Outdoor Play & Nature Walks: Supervise and engage children in outdoor activities such as games, nature walks, and exploration, encouraging physical activity and connection with nature.
- Classroom Cleanliness & Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment. This includes tidying up after activities, setting up materials, and ensuring that all areas of the room are properly sanitized.
- Child Supervision & Care: Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times. Supervise children during all activities, including indoor and outdoor play, meals, and rest periods.
- Positive Communication: Maintain open, positive, and professional communication with children, parents, and staff. Report any concerns regarding children’s behavior or well-being to the Camp Director.
- Behavior Management: Use positive reinforcement and effective strategies to manage classroom behavior and encourage respect and cooperation.
- Flexible Hours: Be open to changing schedules. Full-time hours are expected and over time may occur depending on the schedules of the children enrolled.

Requirements:
- Fingerprints/Background Check and Central Regsitry check are done.
- Physical and TB test required on DSS form
- Previous experience working with children in an educational or camp setting preferred.
- Must have the ability to plan and implement fun and educational activities and crafts.
- Must be able to comfortably participate in outdoor play and nature walks, including occasional physical activities such as running, lifting, and assisting children.
- Must be able to maintain classroom cleanliness and organization.
- Must have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Must be open to flexible working hours, including the potential for early mornings and late afternoons depending on camp scheduling.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
