WHAT DO YOU DO?
Our summer camp runs from Tuesday, May 27th to Friday, August 9th. Your first day is Thursday, May 22rd, or sooner if possible.
As a Summer Camp Lead Teacher, you create incredible summer experiences for children aged six to twelve. You come up with fun classroom activities and chaperone your students on field trips, making sure everyone is behaving and actively participating. Along with your assistant teacher, you watch over the kids, oversee snack times, and promptly address any problem behaviors. You speak with parents about their child's activities and get the classroom ready for another full day of fun and learning!
Would you be a good fit? Here's what you need:
- 21 years old
- Ability to create lesson plans for school-age children
- Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to drive our small 12-passenger bus
- Willingness to obtain a physical and TB test before employment start date
You also need to meet at least one of these qualifications:
- 60 hours of college credit with 6 hours in early childhood education or child development
- 30 hours of college credit with 6 hours in early childhood education or child development AND 1 years of experience in a licensed daycare
- Ability to obtain a CDA certificate
