Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate School Age Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and promoting the academic and social development of students. This role involves working with children in various age groups, focusing on both individual and group learning experiences. The School Age Teacher will play a crucial role in curriculum development, classroom management, and engaging students in meaningful educational activities.
Teacher must be flexible and willing to work in other classrooms until School Agers arrive at the center. Teacher must be willing and able to work throughout Winter, Spring and the summer for breaks.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
- Assess and monitor student progress through regular evaluations and feedback.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, employing strategies to promote positive interactions.
- Collaborate with parents, colleagues, and support staff to enhance student learning experiences.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning needs, including special education requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behavior.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development and childhood development principles.
- Proficient in behavior management techniques to create a conducive learning atmosphere.
- Experience working with children in preschool or toddler care settings is highly desirable.
