Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accurate coding and timely submission of claims to insurance companies. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and the ability to navigate medical records efficiently.

Duties

• Review and verify patient information and insurance coverage before billing.
• Accurately code medical procedures using ICD-10 coding systems.
• Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies and follow up on unpaid claims.
• Manage accounts receivable, including collections for outstanding balances.
• Maintain organized medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Communicate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance representatives regarding billing inquiries.
• Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices.

Skills

• Proficiency in medical billing software and systems.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding practices.
• Familiarity with medical collection processes.
• Experience working in a medical office environment is preferred.
• Ability to interpret medical records accurately for billing purposes.
