Why We Need Your Talents:
We are looking for a friendly, detail-oriented HR Representative to manage the HR service window, serving as the first point of contact for team members seeking HR assistance. This role involves providing accurate information, handling team member inquiries, processing HR-related paperwork, and ensuring a positive team member experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong customer service mindset, and a solid understanding of HR policies and procedures.
Bilingual (Spanish/English/Mandarin) skills are strongly preferred to support a diverse workforce.
Schedule:
- Monday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- Tuesday - Friday: 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM
- Monthly Saturday Rotation (specific Saturdays as needed)
Responsibilities
Where You'll Make an Impact:
- Staff the HR Customer Service Window, assisting team members with HR-related inquiries such as benefits, payroll, policies, and procedures.
- Provide prompt, courteous, and accurate responses to team member questions and concerns.
- Communicate onboarding requirements through HR onboarding emails.
- Provide information on benefits enrollment and employment verification requests.
- Guide team members through HR processes such as updating personal information, requesting leave, or reporting workplace concerns.
- Maintain company policies and confidentiality standards.
- Direct team members to the appropriate HR personnel or departments for complex inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
- Process new hires, seasonal team members, and other staff through the onboarding process.
- Prepare new hires for orientation.
- Answer phones, take messages, greet visitors, and respond to inquiries.
- Hire candidates in the applicant tracking system and coordinate with HR to schedule new hire orientation.
- Prepare and issue access badges.
- Complete ad-hoc reporting related to requisitions, hires, etc.
- Assist the Licensing Specialist with the coordination of the licensing process.
- Assist the HR team with special projects or other administrative tasks.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills to Help You Succeed:
- Associate's degree or higher in Human Resources or a related field.
- Relevant Human Resources certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.).
- At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in an HR or Legal department.
- Proficiency with HR software, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Qualifications
Must-Haves:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of experience in a professional high-volume office.
- Must comply with all state gaming regulations, including obtaining a license if required.
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting, pushing and carrying up to 20lbs.
- Infrequent bending/kneeling
- Frequent walking, standing, sitting and typing.
- Use of stairs and elevators
