Job Description :
Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.Understand principles of growth and development of the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status.Interpret appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to age-specific needs, and provide care for adult and geriatric patient groups.Provide direct and indirect skilled nursing care for assigned residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.Maintain a collaborative relationship with other nursing staff, physicians, and ancillary staff.Keep current knowledge and clinical expertise through continuing education and in-service programs.Collect data relevant to the resident's physical and psychosocial condition on an ongoing basis and communicate findings to the RN and other members of the Interdisciplinary Team.Contribute to the creation of a developmentally age-appropriate and culturally relevant plan of resident care, involving the resident / family and healthcare team in the process.Recommend revisions to the plan of care after evaluating resident outcomes and indicate the need for referrals to ensure all aspects of the resident's care have been addressed.Collaborate with the resident / family and members of the Interdisciplinary Team to assure satisfaction.Maintain current competency in nursing practice and participate in the mentoring / orientation of staff.Consider factors related to safety, cost, and impact in planning the delivery of care.Provide leadership in the professional practice setting under the direction of the RN.Demonstrate knowledge and competency in handling occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens, with tasks involving potential contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues.Client Details
