Job Description :
- Provide direct and indirect skilled nursing care for assigned residents.
- Follow defined policies and procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with nursing staff, physicians, and ancillary staff.
- Stay current with knowledge and clinical expertise through continuing education and inservice programs.
- Demonstrate ability to care for geriatric residents.
- Collect data relevant to residents' physical and psychosocial condition and communicate findings to RN and Interdisciplinary Team.
- Contribute to the creation of developmentally and culturally appropriate care plans involving resident / family and healthcare team.
- Recommend revisions to care plans based on evaluation of outcomes and indicate referrals as needed.
- Maintain current knowledge and competency in nursing practice and participate in mentoring / orientation of staff.
- Consider safety, cost, and impact in planning and delivery of care.
- Provide leadership in the professional practice setting under RN direction.
- Demonstrate knowledge and competency. Handle potential contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues safely.
