Summary: LJA Engineering is looking for a highly motivated Junior Network Administrator to join our IT team. Under general supervision the individual is responsible for installing, configuring, documenting, and monitoring network systems and services.
General Responsibilities:
- Work in a team environment to help administer/setup local or remote network equipment: Routers, Firewalls, Switches, Access points.
- Help monitoring networking equipment, systems performance, Wi-Fi coverage.
- Provide escalated networking ticket support and help resolve troubleshoot problems.
- Hands on install equipment or break/fix as needed.
- Travel to remote sites as needed.
- Participate in afterhours work as needed and at least one weekend monthly.
Requirements
Education
- High school diploma.
- CompTIA Network
Experience
- 2 years of IT work experience in network infrastructure or server infrastructure. (May be substituted with associate degree)
- Experience supporting server operating systems and hardware a plus.
- Palo Alto Firewalls, Aruba HPE or Meraki network hardware.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

- Thorough understanding of Firewalls, Routing, Security Policies, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN
- Ability to work in command line interfaces.
- A general understanding of the OSI model.
