Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Construction Bookkeeper to manage the financial transactions and records of our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction bookkeeping, possess exceptional attention to detail, and be well-versed in industry-specific financial practices.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Records Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple construction projects.
- Monitor project budgets, expenses, and revenue.
- Invoicing and Billing:
- Prepare and process client invoices in a timely manner.
- Track and manage subcontractor and vendor invoices.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Oversee accounts payable and ensure timely payments to vendors and subcontractors.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices.
- Bank Reconciliation:
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting:
- Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements and cash flow reports.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant construction accounting standards and regulations.
- Work closely with the company's accountants and auditors during audits.
- Communication:
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather financial information.
- Communicate financial updates and reports to the leadership team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent experiance
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction bookkeeping and payroll
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online & Houzz).
- Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
