Purchasing Agent
Loadmaster is a rapidly growing national manufacturer of refuse trucks with customers all over the country. Garbage never stops, it always needs to be picked up no matter the weather or the economy and our products play an integral role in that process. Some of our customers include major cities and hauling companies who depend on our products in order to keep their cities, parks, and towns clean and healthy.
The purchasing director brings in materials required to build refuse trucks ranging from hydraulic and electrical components to raw steel.
- Creates schedules for our vendors on when we need their products
- Negotiate pricing and delivery terms with suppliers
- Establish and maintain customer - supplier relationships
- Communicate with urgency issues that arise with suppliers (delivery issues, ineffective product)
- Assist in managing the inventory
- Create production run and participate in production planning
- Evaluate supplier performance
- Interview and seek new suppliers
- Issue and manage purchase orders
