WHO YOU ARE
The Business Development Manager will drive Locality’s channel partner expansion by identifying, recruiting, and onboarding new partners while leading sales enablement and partnership launches. Success requires expertise in SaaS, local ad sales, and reseller relationships, with a strong track record of closing deals. As a key leader in a fast-growing division, this role develops partner growth strategies and helps businesses evolve through tech-driven advertising solutions.
- Build and grow strategic reseller partnerships for SaaS-based advertising solutions, ensuring strong market fit across managed-service and self-service offerings.
- Connect with key decision-makers to drive product adoption, support sales enablement, and strengthen long-term business relationships.
- Understand partner needs and recommend tailored SaaS solutions to close deals efficiently and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
- Lead partner onboarding, training, and initial revenue activation before transitioning them to the partner management team for long-term success.
- Use deep SaaS industry knowledge to align partners with the right strategies, maximize platform use, and drive growth.
- Establish and report on relevant partner metrics and key performance indicators related to SaaS sales.
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, and Legal teams to streamline processes, finalize contracts, and unlock partner potential.
- Track sales pipeline, key performance metrics, and industry trends to make data-driven decisions and optimize SaaS sales strategies.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, gathering insights to enhance SaaS adoption and improve partner experience.
- Advocate for partners by ensuring our SaaS platform evolves with market needs and industry trends.
- Travel 30%-40% as needed to support business development and partner engagement.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
- A BS/BA degree is highly preferred but not required.
- 5 years of experience in SaaS, digital media, or technology sales, with a proven track record of exceeding quotas, and ideally 3 years in a partner channel sales environment.
- Expertise in the digital advertising space, including OTT, digital video, and SaaS-driven solutions.
- Strong knowledge of the local and national digital advertising landscapes.
- Experience selling both advertising and SaaS solutions at national and local levels is a plus.
- Ability to effectively communicate and demonstrate SaaS value propositions.
- Adaptability and a strong ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing start up work environment.
- A passion for staying current with new media and technology, particularly in SaaS.
Compensation for the role includes a competitive salary of $80,000 – $100,000 in addition to a lucrative commission plan that can bring potential earnings up to $115,000 - $125,000 (dependent on years of experience, level of education obtained, as well as applicable skillset) and an excellent benefits package (including but not limited to health care benefits, retirement benefits and paid days off).
