Locust Street Resource Center is currently hiring to the position of Crisis Care System Program Manager supervising the Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT). The Crisis Care System is a continuum of crisis response services comprised of a 24/7 Crisis Line and Mobile Crisis Response team with shifts that may include evenings, weekends, daytime hours, and holidays.
As the Crisis Care System Program Manager, you will be the cornerstone of a team dedicated to providing timely, in-person support to those experiencing a crisis in their home, community or other safe location. In this role, you will focus on supervising staff, promoting best practices, and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality, culturally informed care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing consistent and supportive supervision to mobile crisis staff, guiding them to deliver professional and compassionate care.
- Ensuring that all team members adhere to evidence-based practices, maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, and uphold high-quality service standards.
- Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing mentorship to foster professional growth and skill development among staff.
- Overseeing team schedules to provide 24/7 staffing coverage, ensuring seamless response to crisis callers and being available for on-call clinical support to assist with critical needs.
- Promoting a culture of accountability and collaboration, empowering team members to excel in crisis response.
- Facilitating onboarding for new team members, conducting training sessions, and ensuring ongoing education in crisis intervention and cultural competence.
- Monitoring program data to evaluate staff performance and outcomes and implement strategies to improve service delivery and program efficiency.
- Engaging in outreach activities to expand program visibility and partnerships with clinics, schools, and community agencies.
Minimum Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited program in social work, psychology, counseling, or any other related human services field.
- Must be a Qualified Mental Health Provider (i.e. RN, Social Worker, Licensed Counselor, etc.)
- Two years’ experience; one of which was working with the behavioral health population.
- Preferred to be licensed or licensable in the State of Illinois (LCPC, LMFT, or LCSW).
- Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and a willingness to work with multicultural staff and clientele.
- Completion of training as directed through orientation and/or by Leadership, Management or Educators in the established timeline for continued employment.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and other clinic management software.
