Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate and timely collections, and maintaining strong relationships with clients. The Accounts Receivable Analyst will play a critical role in optimizing cash flow, identifying discrepancies, and supporting financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Accounts Receivable: Process and maintain accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accurate billing and timely collection of outstanding payments.
- Invoicing & Billing: Generate and send invoices to clients, ensuring they align with the terms and agreements established in contracts or sales orders.
- Collections: Monitor accounts for overdue payments, initiate follow-ups with clients, and resolve outstanding payment issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly.
- Customer Account Management: Serve as the point of contact for clients regarding payment inquiries and provide customer service by addressing questions and concerns about billing or payment discrepancies.
- Reporting & Analysis: Assist with the preparation of aging reports, cash flow forecasting, and other accounts receivable-related reports to support management’s decision-making process.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the development of improved procedures for accounts receivable, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as sales, customer service, and finance, to resolve billing issues and ensure smooth cash flow operations.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in accounts receivable, accounting, or finance (2-3 years preferred).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial practices.
