Job Summary
Family is seeking a full-time nanny to care for their 5-month-old son and their 3.5-year-old, who attends school Monday through Thursday from 9 AM to 2 PM. The ideal candidate will assist with school drop-off and pick-up, be comfortable around water as the family has a pool, and have the energy to keep up with an active toddler. This role is primarily child-focused, with light household duties limited to tasks such as cleaning up after meals, unloading the dishwasher, washing bottles, and tidying up toys. The family has a strong Christian faith and seeks a nanny who will respect their values, including their commitment to clean eating for their children, as well as a screen free environment, encouraging their boys to be active with STEM activities. This position is expected to last approximately 12 to 18 months.
Hours: Monday-Wednesday 8:00am-4:30pm, Thursday: 8:00am-3:30pm, Friday: 8:30-3:00pm
Children: 2 boys (5 months and 3.5 years)
Start Date: Around April 7th
Responsibilities
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities to encourage intellectual development
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for the children
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks for the children
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of children's play areas
- Follow parents' guidelines for child behavior and discipline
- Transport children to and from activities as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children, such as in daycare, preschool, teaching, or previous nanny roles
- Knowledge of first aid procedures for children
- Ability to multitask and prioritize children's needs effectively
- Strong communication skills to interact with both children and parents
- Willingness to undergo a background check
- Ability to stay off your phone and actively engage with children
- Prior experience working with children with special needs (RBTs/Paraprofessionals/SPED teachers) are encouraged to apply
