Job Summary
Family is looking for a nurturing nanny to care for their 1-year-old daughter. Both parents work from home and hope to find someone who feels at ease taking their little one on walks, visiting the playground, and becoming a valued part of their growing family. Their daughter is drawn to warm, engaging personalities and enjoys interactive, hands-on activities. The family embraces a screen-free lifestyle, focusing on STEM-based learning, active play, and meaningful conversations to support her development. She typically naps for two hours but occasionally prefers contact napping, so flexibility and patience are key. Strong communication skills are essential, as the family values open and clear dialogue. They also have a friendly dog, so the nanny should be comfortable around pets.
Children: 1 Girl (1 year old)
Hours: Mon-Wed: 8am-3pm
Start Date: March 3rd
Responsibilities
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities to encourage intellectual development
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for the children
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks for the children
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of children's play areas
- Follow parents' guidelines for child behavior and discipline
- Transport children to and from activities as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children, such as in daycare, preschool, teaching, or previous nanny roles
- Knowledge of first aid procedures for children
- Ability to multitask and prioritize children's needs effectively
- Strong communication skills to interact with both children and parents
- Willingness to undergo a background check
- Ability to stay off your phone and actively engage with children
- Prior experience working with children with special needs (RBTs/Paraprofessionals/SPED teachers) are encouraged to apply
