Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teen Arts Teacher to join our summer camp team for nine weeks - June 23- Aug 22. As a Camp Art Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment for young artists. You will be responsible for leading activities, supervising projects, and inspiring their creativity and well-being throughout their LBIF experience. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, creativity, and a passion for working with teens.
Duties
- Supervise and engage with teens during various activities such as arts and crafts, and outdoor creative experiences.
- Foster a positive camp atmosphere by encouraging teamwork, respect, social interaction, and inclusivity among teens.
- Plan and implement daily schedules and activities that cater to the interests and age groups of the students.
- Ensure the safety of all campers by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
- Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members to address any concerns or needs that arise.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of facilities and equipment.
- Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating good behavior, respect for others, and enthusiasm for art and creative activities.
Experience
- Previous experience working with teens in a camp or educational setting in the visual arts is required.
- Strong teaching and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young artists in the Fine Arts and Crafts.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members.
- A passion for activities in the arts, or other recreational pursuits is a plus.
- Certification in First Aid/CPR is desirable but can be obtained upon hiring.
