About the Role:
The Service Purchaser is responsible for ensuring accurate purchasing for the service needs of Long Home customers. Service Purchasers will provide back-end customer support, delivering the highest quality service and will support the Operations team by managing all service purchase orders. The Service Purchaser is focused on reconciling service requests, ordering materials, and tracking and confirming the delivery of the materials.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Review service requests and measure sheets for accuracy and service requirements.
- Generate purchase orders for service project materials.
- Navigate distributor portals to place orders and identify order status.
- Order addendum/change order materials as needed.
- Review and reconcile material order acknowledgments.
- Upload order acknowledgments and project cost to the CRM.
- Track and enter estimated delivery dates for materials into the CRM.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of products and services.
- Coordinate with other departments on client-related matters.
- Escalate order delays and issues to management for prompt resolution.
- Keep a record of all conversations in CRM.
- Meets productivity and quality standards to reach individual and organizational goals.
- Escalate customer complaints and issues to management for prompt resolution.
- Manage service project flow to ensure progression and completion.
- Close/complete service projects in the CRM.
- Answer incoming calls to the Service Department.
- Build, maintain and improve customer relationships through regular communication.
- Coordinate with other departments on client-related matters.
- Assist with the overflow of incoming calls to the Customer Service team.
- Maintain an environment that embodies the company’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
- Remain in compliance and up to date on all company-wide live and digital training.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in purchasing services for a large organization
- Knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices
- Experience with vendor management software
Skills:
As a Service Purchaser, you will utilize your strong communication skills to effectively source and purchase services for our organization. You will work closely with internal teams to understand their service needs and specifications, and collaborate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of services while maintaining quality standards. Your ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously will be critical in ensuring the success of our organization. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and vendor management software will also be essential in this role.
