EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

Lorain County Safe Harbor is a non-profit domestic violence, human service, and social change agency, providing emergency confidential shelter and a wide variety of community-based intervention, education, support, and prevention services throughout Lorain County.

JOB TITLE: Operations Coordinator

FLSA STATUS: non-exempt, Full-Time,

LOCATION: Community Outreach Center

This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position that involves performing a variety of tasks including shelter advocacy, administrative and operational, to support the agency and the clients it serves. This position includes varied hours of work, including weekend, evening, and holiday hours. This position reports directly to the Manager of Facilities and Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Greet all visitors and assist them as needed

· Answer and direct all incoming phone calls

· Support Executive Director, Associate Director and Manager of Facilities & Operations administratively

· Ensure general overall appearance of all facilities

· Ensure completion daily environment check-lists

· Return Phone Calls as need, respond to emails in a timely manner

· Record boutique stats into record keeping data base

· Perform general office duties

· Retrieve, separate, prepare and disseminate all mail

· Obtain second signatures for checks

· Prepare and process all bank deposits

· Assisting with the management of daily operational activities

· Assist in managing orders & disburses office and facility supplies

· Oversight of order fulfillment for agency departments

· Coordinates volunteers, volunteer groups and provides direction for days of service

· Completes intake of donations, inventories and display and delivery of items

· Completes thank you notes in a timely manner to all donors for their support

· Maintains and supervises the operations of Donor Boutique

· Ability to act as shelter advocate when in shelter

· Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

· BA or AA degree in office administration or related field, or equivalent life experience

· Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license and reliable, insured transportation

· Must be able to successfully pass a background check

· Must have strong computer literacy, including various software programs and social media venues

· Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must

· An understanding of trauma and trauma-informed care is necessary

· Strong conflict-management skills

· An appreciation for the importance of maintaining strict confidentiality as well as strict professional boundaries

· A commitment to equality in relationships and women’s empowerment

· An understanding of and commitment to social change, with the ability to inspire and advocate for said change.
