Position Overview:

As a Domestic Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for processes and procedures used in freight forwarding activities, whiling operating within a team to coordinate, process, and manage all domestic logistics related to our outgoing business flows from our varies production facilities and 3rd party warehouses. Ensuring timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service within the Operations Department.

Job Description:

• Quoting, routing, and handling of customer service functions for domestic operations shipments. Including but not limited to shipment entry and processing.
• Complete and timely status updates. Updates in Scan Global operations system is required when tracking, and for all Scan Global shipments you may create or update. All shipments must be updated, including PODs, and must be entered prior to you leaving.
• Work with operations management to coordinate outbound domestic airfreight operations, while meeting company standards and guidelines. Routing should be done in the most effective manner to meet customer expectations and maximize company profitability.
• Assist in warehouse as needed with sorting, packing, labeling, dim, & re-weigh.
• Work closely with other staff members, including sales, in a manner that meets operation performance standards, and allows them to succeed and grow in our company.
• Provide a high level of customer service to our external and internal (other Scan Global offices) customers.
• Work in cooperation with fellow operations personnel in a manner that promotes the most efficient use of time and resources.
• Handle customer service requirements effectively and efficiently. When quoting on new business, profitability must be maximized while making every effort to gain business quoted. All quotes should be followed up on with customers.
• Assist with CROC for two-man deliveries as needed.
• Assist D&W International and Scan Global in growth of our business, in any way possible, including on-call responsibilities.
• We are a team here. If you aren’t busy, there is ALWAYS something to do. Be sure you ask other staff members, including management, about other areas where you can assist… in the event of down-time.

Education and Experience:

• Freight industry experience 2 years (is must)
• Experience in freight forwarding operations processes and procedures.
• Experience of bonded freight and cargo

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.44 – $31.25
