Job Title: Sr Global Demand and Inventory Specialist

General Description / Purpose:
The Sr Global Demand and Inventory Specialist plays a key role in optimizing supply and demand alignment over short- and medium-term horizons. This position is responsible for developing and executing strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels while ensuring the right products are available across all warehouse locations. Additionally, the role involves implementing efficient procedures to enhance inventory management and streamline operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Leadership Needs
- Global Program Development
- Design and implement scalable programs for global applications.
- Oversee project planning and execution to ensure seamless integration.
- Lead systemic development initiatives, including IFS enhancements.
- Develop comprehensive documentation and work instructions.
- Conduct training sessions and oversee program implementation.
- Tactical Leadership
- Drive prioritization of data analysis and reporting efforts to support strategic decision-making.
- Mentor and train team members to foster professional growth and skill development.
- Evaluate and align global business needs, ensuring focus on high-impact objectives.
- Continuous Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies and opportunities for enhancement within existing processes.
- Develop and implement systemic solutions to optimize operations.
- Lead cross-functional teams (CFTs) to drive and execute continuous improvement initiatives.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Utilizing advanced analytics tools to identify trends, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and make data-driven decisions.
- Developing and implementing strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels across the global supply chain, balancing stock availability with cost control.
- Analyzing data, sales trends, and economic factors to accurately predict future product demand across different regions.
- Analyze and address supply-demand gaps by optimizing allocation strategies, resolving intra-business unit customer priorities, and developing advanced reporting tools to enhance efficiency.
- Oversee the implementation, communication, and coordination of forecasts and product availability, ensuring optimal service level inventories.
- Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Inventory Control, aftermarket, marketing, and fleet operation teams to define strategic inventory stocking levels and deployment plans, maximizing availability and efficiency.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and best practices
- Proven experience in demand forecasting and inventory planning, especially in a global context
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams across different regions
- Proficiency in relevant software tools like ERP systems, forecasting applications, and data visualization platforms
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
Experience: 5 Years Business experience and/or training. 4 Years Demand and Inventory Analysis/Inventory Management experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced PC skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
*Or 10 years combination of education and experience in Demand and Inventory Analysis/Inventory Management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Licenses/Certifications:
- Ability to obtain and maintain Railroad Certifications.
- CPIM Certification
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Power BI
- ERP Systems (IFS preferred)
WORKING CONDITIONS:

Loram determines compensation based on factors such as skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. Starting pay for the position is between $75,450 - $94,350.
