What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plaintiff-side Consumer Litigation Associate—Wilmington, DE position at Lord Gurman & Lewis LLC?
A non-public search with a high-end, plaintiff-side law firm seeks to hire for its Wilmington, DE office (attorneys typically expected in the office three days weekly) a senior or midlevel associate to focus on consumer/product liability litigation. The attorney should have about four to ten (or some more) years of consumer or product liability litigation experience; a background in science is ideal but not required. The role requires the ability to manage complex cases and involves working with a team to develop litigation strategies, overseeing discovery, drafting complaints and motions, and taking depositions. Admission in DE, PA, or NJ are all fine. Admission in DE will likely not be needed down the road. Some travel will be required, but not an extensive amount. Base compensation is likely between $175,000-215,000, depending upon experience, plus a purely discretionary bonus (typically ranging from $5,000-20,000 or so). I have close ties with the firm and have placed more than 40 attorneys there.
