We are currently looking for an experienced IT Manager to lead the organization’s software development initiatives and oversee IT operations.
ABOUT THE POSITION
As an Information Technology Manager you’ll lead the organization’s software development initiatives and oversee IT operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise a team of in-house software developers and IT administrators as well as outside independent contractors and vendors
- Research, recommend, and implement technology strategies and solutions across the entire organization
- Collaborate with management to implement IT policies, procedures, strategies and controls
- Oversee the deployment, monitoring, security, patching, upgrading, and support of all IT systems, including providing hands-on or remote support as needed
- Implement and exercise procedures for backups, disaster recovery and business continuity
- Manage the IT budget and fixed asset inventory
- Continue to develop and improve the organization's various internally developed software applications
- Advise organization on opportunities for migrating current “Legacy” software programs
- Oversee website development projects using outside vendors
- Review and evaluate IT vendor contracts, resolving any issues or discrepancies
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- B.S. in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent experience
- 5 years of professional experience in IT management
- Expertise configuring & troubleshooting Windows servers and workstations
- A solid understanding of IT security principles and best practices
- First-hand knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, firewalls, and Telephony
- Experience with Microsoft Azure applications and administration
- Experience in leading a software development team in an Agile environment
- Personal experience writing production-ready software
- A curious mindset and enthusiasm for learning new technologies and skills
