About the Role:
We are seeking an of experience and a strong background in legal writing, corporate immigration, and employment-based immigration matters. This role focuses on handling complex legal research, case preparation, and drafting essential legal documents for businesses, investors, and skilled professionals. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth legal research on business immigration laws, visa categories, and regulatory compliance for corporate clients and individuals.
- Provide strategic legal counsel on employment-based immigration matters, including H-1B, L-1, O-1, EB-1, EB-2, EB-5, PERM, and I-9 compliance.
- Prepare and draft comprehensive legal documents, including immigration petitions, labor condition applications, PERM filings, motions, appeals, and waivers.
- Work closely with corporate clients to ensure compliance with immigration regulations and develop tailored legal strategies.
- Collaborate with human resources departments and company stakeholders to navigate sponsorship requirements for employees and investors.
- Represent clients in immigration interviews, hearings, and administrative proceedings.
- Oversee and delegate tasks to support staff, including paralegals and legal assistants, to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay up-to-date on U.S. immigration policies, Department of Labor (DOL) regulations, and USCIS guidelines affecting business immigration.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business immigration law, handling employment-based petitions and compliance.
- Strong expertise in legal research, writing, and drafting of immigration petitions and appeals.
- Experience working with corporate clients, multinational businesses, and investors on visa sponsorship and compliance matters.
- Ability to draft persuasive and well-structured legal arguments for complex immigration cases.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong client management, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Spanish and/or Portuguese language proficiency (preferred).
