The pay scale the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of the posting is $91,354 to $122,117 and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, experience, training, licenses, certifications, and other business or organizational needs. Compensation will be determined based on the above factors along with the requirements of the position. At the L.A. Responsibilities
- Write and report editorials to meet daily deadlines
- Research and pitch editorials to the board on a daily basis
- Attend meetings and engage with policymakers and newsmakers
- Attend and participate in regular editorial board meetings and other meetings as needed
- Adhere to the company’s editorial ethics guidelines and all company policies regarding employee conduct Other duties as assigned
- At least five years of experience reporting and writing
- A strong understanding of state and local issues
- Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills
- Ability to report on complex topics with accuracy, fairness and understanding
- Excellent writing skills that can express ideas concisely and persuasively
- Ability to meet daily deadlines Familiarity with law or public policy debates a plus
- Ability to use software and publishing tools required for the job
- Ability to work closely with others in a team environment Impeccable interpersonal skills
