Job Summary: Lotte Aluminium Materials, USA is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation systems and processes to improve efficiency and productivity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in robotic programming, machining, and mechanical knowledge.
Job Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement automation systems and processes

Program robots to perform specific tasks

Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve automation issues

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize automation processes

Create and maintain documentation for automation systems

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to automation equipment

Collaborate with suppliers to source and select automation components

Test and validate automation systems to ensure optimal performance
Required Skills and Abilities:
Excellent communication, team orientation and presentation skills
Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point, etc.)
Safety and Quality oriented with a solution-oriented mindset
Ability to problem solve with planning skills
Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance
Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive attitude
Education and Experience:
3-5 years of experience as an Automation Engineer in a manufacturing facility
Strong knowledge of machining processes and equipment
Mechanical knowledge to design and fabricate automation components
Experience with root cause analysis techniques to identify and resolve issues
Familiarity with robotics systems and their integration into manufacturing processes
Proficiency in SolidWorks or Siemens PLC for designing automation components
Knowledge of distributed control systems for automation control
Proficiency in AutoCAD for creating schematics
Physical Requirements:
While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee will be required to: sit at a desk for prolonged periods of time and work on a computer; regularly walk, stand, sit and communicate.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm
