Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance according to prescribed procedures and guidelines
- Perform hands-on intervention in case of malfunction of machines and utilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical systems
- Provide ongoing maintenance and support to production machinery, manufacturing equipment, and other equipment
- Change, adjust, and fine-tune packaging machines
- Monitor equipment operability after changing the machine settings or other maintenance activities, in consultation with the baker, doughmaker, or line operator
- Assist in the development and implementation of technical projects
- Assist with inventory management of spare parts
- Document work notes in system
- Participate in shift handoff meetings
Tasks and Responsibilities Regarding Safety, Quality, and Efficiency
- Report unsafe situations or near-miss accidents and assist in the development of preventive solutions
- Ensure the safe use of machines and tools
- Perform calibration activities
- Help with the cleanliness and tidiness of the maintenance facilities
- Work within the guidelines of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety rules and standards
4. Profile
Education:
- Associates degree in Mechanics, Electricity/electronics, Pneumatics, Industrial Systems, or Industrial Automation is preferred
- High school diploma or GED is required
Specific Knowledge
- Must be able to perform duties following all regulatory GMP/FSMA food hygiene practices
Experience:
- Prior work experience in a food processing or food production environment strongly preferred
- Proficient in the maintenance of production equipment
- Siemens or Allen Bradley PLC knowledge
- Knowledge of high voltage AC and low voltage DC electrical systems
- Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of mechanics and basic troubleshooting
- Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining robotics and/or industrial automation, pneumatic conveying systems, and flow wrapping machines is required
- Able to read blueprints and electrical schematics
- Forklift/lift truck experience
- Root cause analysis

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
