Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree is required; Master's Degree preferred
- Professional experience in collegiate athletic administration or coaching preferred
- Strong organization and inter-personal communication skills and knowledge of NCAA rules about first and continuing eligibility needed
- Computer literacy is mandatory with knowledge of new, updated applications used in the field
- Supervise staff and assist in implementation of Enhanced Academic Program
- Prepare and distribute student athlete/team academic updates/reports
- Monitor academic support areas
- Prepare and distribute student athlete team reports
- Serve as on-campus liaison for athletic department
- Oversee student athlete development program
- Coordinate Summer Bridge program classes and activities
- Address other related areas of academic support to include athletic training, counseling, study halls, and evaluation of transcripts
- Attend NCAA Compliance educational sessions as required by the University Compliance Coordinator
- Comply with all NCAA rules and regulations as per the NCAA Compliance Manual
- Assist NSU admissions office in identifying and recruiting students who are outstanding academically or in extracurricular activities other than athletics
- Participate in community activities that allow the promotion of athletics and/or the University
- Identify and cultivate potential donors to the athletic department and the University
