Job Overview
We are seeking a Paint Mixing Technician to join our manufacturing operations team. In this new position, the ideal candidate will have a strong background paint or chemical mixing. This role requires a hands-on approach to paint mixing, including preventative maintenance and calibrating you equipment you use. The role requires focus, a level of accuracy and attention to detail. The Paint Mixing Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining operational efficiency in our Green Bay facility and contributing to the success of our coating operations.
Duties
- Operate and maintain various types of machinery/equipment, ensuring optimal performance for the paint mixing operations.
- Set up and calibrate equipment.
- Perform mixing and blending responsibilities for the 16 paint colors used on the manufacturing lines.
- Perform paint checks that the mixed paint meets the pre-application standards (viscosity, etc.) of LP.
- Monitor activity through control panel & make appropriate process changes.
- Perform preventative maintenance on the equipment used in performance of your responsibilities.
- Be a back-up technician to the waste water treatment process.
- Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by your manager or supervisor.
Experience
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in equipment operation.
- Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
- Proven experience in a technician role or similar position is preferred.
- Experience in construction painting, industrial painting, auto painting
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.
- Knowledge of multiple complex equipment operation.
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance.
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated mechanical ability.
- Demonstrated ability to operate multiple pieces of equipment.
- Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations.
Education:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
Work Environment:
- Plant environment
- Standing 90% of the time
- Some lifting, kneeling, bending, crawling, etc.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds on a daily basis

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
