ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Hang parts in preparation of paint using a variety of hooks and racks
- Clean and prepare part surfaces for paint using Alkaline cleaners, Pretreatments, or solvents
- Follow shop schedule and travelers for each job
- Mask treads and plug holes as required
- Handle product safely using a forklift, cranes, or carts to move product
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment
- Inspect finished parts to ensure conformance to customer specifications
- Drop parts to pallets or dry racks once paint is dry
- Maintain and keep area safe, organized, and clean
- Enter times and close jobs on a computer after completion
- Effectively manage time to ensure on-time delivery of every project
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Prior parts hanging a plus
- Prior washing and paint prep a plus
- Ability to read blueprints a plus
- Ability to work independently as well as effectively as a team member
- Adhere to ISO procedure qualifications
- Strong sense of safety and following all safety procedures
- Demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to understand and follow through on verbal instructions is required
- Excellent hand-eye coordination to consistently mask parts and plug holes along with the ability to accurately measure areas for masking
- Consistently demonstrate sound safety practices, as well as the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand on ladders, kneel, bend down, and stretch is required.
- Physically able to wear protective equipment on a regular basis is required.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
