Louisiana State University at Eunice (LSUE) is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and strategic thinking Executive Assistant to the Chancellor to support the Chancellor's Office in carrying out the mission of the university. The Executive Assistant primarily supports the Chancellor in their leadership, work and activities. In doing so, the Executive Assistant must be capable of coordinating responsibilities with the range of constituents interacting with the Chancellor's Office including but not limited to students, staff, faculty, members of the Cabinet, the chair and members of the Campus Board of Advisors and the Foundation Board, members of the public and leaders from local, state and national organizations and governmental officials.. In addition, the Executive Assistant must be capable of coordinating university, ceremonial and community relations events, and supporting special campus projects.
Job Responsibilities:
50%- Provide and supervise the administrative support functions for the Chancellor of LSUE including scheduling, travel, meeting arrangements, correspondence and reports, record-keeping and routine business activities. Serves as a liaison between the Chancellor and various internal and external constituents.
25%- Responsible for key planning and coordination in university ceremonial, conferences, social and community relations events sponsored by the Chancellor's office; providing support for visitors, preparation and distribution of materials, correspondence, directories/organizational reports, policies and all other official correspondence as needed or maintained by the Chancellor.
10%- Ensures that Policy Statements, Bylaws and Regulations of the Louisiana Board of Regents and the LSU Board of Supervisors are updated, maintained and distributed to required university offices
10%- Help to coordinate and support the Chancellor's continuing interactions and communications with the LSUE Foundation. Provide supervision for temporary and/or student workers; complete a range of business functions involving purchasing, payroll and procurement.
5%- Other duties as assigned including but not limited to representing the Chancellor at departmental, college, faculty, staff and public meetings when necessary.
Salary Range: $40,000.00-$45,000.00
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree
Degree needs to be from an accredited university
3 years of experience in a similar field and not less than 2 years of previous experience providing executive level assistance
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
5 years experience in a similar field and not less than 2 years of previous experience providing executive support

Strong Critical thinking skills
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and to work independently
Help foster teamwork, engage in creative problem solving, and effectively perform in a participatory management style of organization
Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with a variety of constituents
Experience in event and/or project management, preferably in a higher Ed setting
