What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Dining Room Manager position at Louisville Country Club?
JOB REQUIREMENTS / ATTRIBUTES
1. Able to lift up to 65 pounds, climb stairs, stand/walk for 8 hours or more.
2. Able to work holidays, weekends, and double shifts.
3. Has open availability and is flexible with scheduling.
4. Exhibits a professional image through appearance, words, and deeds.
5. Must be consistent in positive attitude, setting high standards and leading by example.
6. Maintains a professional relationship with employees and Members alike.
7. Promotes an attitude of teamwork and cooperation with supervisors, peers, and subordinates.
8. Solution oriented with a “can do!” mentality.
9. Works with a sense of urgency. Is active and dynamic.
10. Must have extensive experience with food service and bartending.
11. Has knowledge of food, service, beer, wine, and cocktails.
12. Basic computer knowledge with Point of Sales, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
RESPONSIBILITIES / SPECIFIC DUTIES
1. Highly visible and interactive supporting all aspects of the dining operations throughout the Club.
2. Ensure that all service areas are set based on anticipated counts and guest needs.
3. Assign table reservations and work areas.
4. Greet and seat Members throughout shift.
5. Actively monitor food and beverage service throughout shift to ensure proper service.
6. Engage regularly with Members regarding their experience.
7. Handles and resolves any complaints concerning food and beverage service.
8. Serves as a liaison between service staff and kitchen staff.
9. Acts as a coach to all associates setting clear expectations before, during and after every shift.
10. Lead and/or participates in daily staff premeal meetings.
11. Inspects staff daily for clean, proper uniforms, name tags, service tools.
12. Assign stations/side work and follows up to assure that tasks are completed.
13. Assists in the training and development of all new Food and Beverage associates.
14. Ensures prompt, friendly service. Upholds expectations for delivering an exceptional member experience.
15. Ensures appearance, cleanliness, and safety of dining room areas, equipment, and fixtures.
16. Ensures the proper set up and execution of Club and private events.
17. Assist in collecting and recording member charges assuring that they are recorded properly.
18. Runs daily updates and reports on POS system.
19. Assist in counting and recording monthly inventory.
20. Responsible for opening, closing and/or securing the building on scheduled shifts.
21. Completes any additional task that may be assigned by management in a timely manner.
22. Assures the compliance with local state and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines.
