LOCATION: Hybrid - Remote & In office (LTI)
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Produce fully dimensioned, annotated, and accurate Shop Drawings of larger scale, more custom LTI projects including consultant-driven custom construction, less complicated custom electrical and refrigeration systems, and higher-end countertop and counter front finishes – Include details required to fabricate more custom equipment with minimal follow-up discussion with production, purchasing, takedown, etc.
- Recommend alternate fabrication solutions that better suit LTI production standards and capabilities.
- Identify conflicts between equipment-furnished by others and LTI equipment; Advise customer on alternatives or other solutions.
- Review and mark up custom food protector fabricators’ shop drawings, requesting necessary changes.
- Assist with Warranty drawings as needed and ‘in-house’ orders.
- Participate in teleconferences with various organizations to tackle challenges as a team.
- Contact other equipment manufacturers to obtain information necessary to adequately show on our shop drawings.
- Assist junior drafters with AutoCAD needs, LTI drafting standards, and LTI production standards.
- Advise customers, sales, and estimating when changes have a significant cost impact and require requoting.
- Advise customers and sales when requests have a significant impact on lead time.
- Aid in training new hires
- Conform with all safety rules and use all required safety equipment.
- Other support functions as required.
- Turn drawings around in a reasonable amount of time, meeting or exceeding customers’ expectations.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum two years experience as a Drafter in a manufacturing field.
- Strong time management skills
- Have a working knowledge of more custom mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems, production standards, drafting standards, and construction/finish materials and their applications.
- Strong mechanical and spatial awareness - Ability to visualize custom design scenarios and details.
- Proficient in 2D AutoCAD
- Have solid working knowledge of standard LTI product lines, production standards, drafting standards, and construction/finish materials and their applications.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to contact other departments or organizations without hesitation, both through email and by telephone
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to concentrate for prolonged periods.
- Experience with large-scale commercial construction sites/plans, custom food service equipment, LTI shop experience, or high-end custom cabinetry and millwork is a huge plus
