Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and be proficient in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related systems. This role requires hands-on experience with various tools and equipment, as well as the ability to read and interpret schematics. The Diesel Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our customers vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel vehicles, including troubleshooting and diagnostics.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to conduct repairs effectively.
- Inspect, repair, and replace components.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems before they escalate.
- Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to ensure efficient workflow in the shop.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working in the shop environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a mechanic or diesel technician with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment specific to diesel engines.
- Familiarity with air brake systems is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with an aptitude for problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to meet deadlines effectively.
- A valid driver’s license (including CDL) may be required for certain positions within the role.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 – 49 per week
