At a Glance! : The College & Career Preparation team is student focused, detail oriented, and relies heavily on teamwork as we support students in attaining their educational goals from earning a high school diploma, strengthening academic skills before moving into college coursework, learning English as a second language, or mastering skills in English, math and technology necessary in today's careers.
The Integrated English Literacy (IEL) Navigator Transitions Coordinator will recruit, enroll and provide navigation and instructional support for IEL / Civics eligible students in I-BEST or Onramp programming articulated to certificate and degree-granting programs. The students this position supports are multilingual with English not being their first language and are often part of historically underrepresented student populations, including communities of color and low-income communities.
Who You Are : The successful candidate for this position is compassionate, supportive, and motivating as they assist students by providing instructional support and navigation resources to non-native English speaking students in College & Career Preparation Programs.
The Integrated English Literacy (IEL) Navigator position is 40 hours per week. The typical schedule is 8 : 00 am - 5 : 00 pm. This position reports to the Interim Director of College & Career Prep.
The Integrated English Literacy Navigator is classified as an Instruction & Classroom Support Tech 1 under Washington State Classification Specifications. This position will receive a 5% assignment pay premium in addition to the posted salary range.
Successful candidates typically start towards the beginning of the salary range and will receive scheduled salary increases.

Examples of Duties & Responsibilities
- Foster successful transitions for Integrated English Learning students throughout their College and Career Preparation and college level pathways.
- Provide students with the equity-focused navigational and support services.
- Create and follow a college and career pathway plan that identifies the funding and resources needed to reach their goals.
- Provide frontline customer service to College and Career Preparation students, staff, faculty and LCC community members.
- Assist with the College and Career Preparation and LCC student intake process.
- Ensure IELCE students have completed CASAS appraisals, pre-tests and post-tests in accordance with program requirements.
- Maintain paper and electronic records.
- Prepare data-driven reports.
- Refer Integrated English Learning students to appropriate on- and off-campus resources.
- Serve as a liaison for Integrated English Learning students.
- Prepare and deliver orientations and presentations.
- Other duties as assigned.

Theis a state licensed program that offers high quality childcare for children ages 1 month through kindergarten entry to students, staff and faculty.
