Barista/Food Prep/Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness in the café, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, counters, and seating areas.
• Handle cash transactions efficiently and accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Monitor inventory levels of food and beverage supplies, restocking as necessary to ensure availability.
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards in all aspects of food preparation and service.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment while ensuring timely service during peak hours.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling regulations.
• Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not required.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Sales skills to promote menu items effectively and enhance customer satisfaction.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $19.00 per hour
