POSITION TITLE: CNC Machine Operator 1, II Evenings (2:00pm-10:30pm)
LOCATION: Onsite at LSI Solutions in Victor, NY
HOURLY PAY RANGE: $23.00 - $28.00hr
Evening Shift Differential an additional $2.00 per hour
SHIFT HOURS: 2:00pm to 10:30pm Evenings
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Level I
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow standard safety procedures and personal protective equipment requirements.
- Operate CNC machines to build production work order (load, unload, cleaning, and inspection parts).
- Conduct in-process inspection of components to ensure conformity to quality requirements using precision measuring instruments and able to read and understand part drawings and basic GD&T.
- Identify issues that may require adjustment of machine settings.
- Perform accurate and timely job tasking, line clearance, and production reporting of work orders.
- Operate part washer.
Level II
- Monitor and update shop floor visual board.
- Perform startup on CNC machines.
- Support Level I Operator.
- Rapidly recognize non-standard equipment/process performance.
- Run multiple production part numbers on CNC machine with no supervision.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- All other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Level I
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 0-1 years’ minimum proven experience as a Machine Operator working in CNC machining/fabrication production environment required.
Level II
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years’ minimum experience working in CNC machining/fabrication production environment required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Level I
- Basic shop math skills.
- Knowledge of end mills, drills, reamers, and assessment of tool condition.
- Capable of using measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, etc.).
- Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and inspection criteria.
- Record SPC data with basic understanding of SPC.
- Analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
Level II
- Able to understand and Interpret SPC data and make recommendations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal to no supervision.
