Position Summary
To provide a wide variety of clerical duties requiring independent judgment in supporting staff members, researchers, and students. Some discretion is required as duties expand in scope and complexity, depending on the availability of supervisory staff.
Medical Center Stores stocks over 1500 items and processes over 2000 orders monthly for scientific supplies including temperature and light sensitive biological reagents, highly valuable and technical scientific equipment and hazardous chemicals required by the School of Medicine, School of Nursing, School of Allied Health and the Center for Excellence.
Under minimal supervision of the Manager of Scientific Supply Store, the incumbent performs administrative, accounting, and inventory management responsibilities at the journeyman level to support a store with a $1.3M budget, over 4300 annual orders, 1900 walk-in customers and 3500 deliveries to various departments across campus. Performs administrative and accounting responsibilities at the journeyman level for the Student Housing Office

Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited:
- Prepare stock and special orders for delivery by the delivery service
- Verify shipping and receiving reports of goods with IntegraSoft (purchasing/inventory management system)
- Participate in the constant maintenance of inventory
- Assist walk-in customers with order placement and fulfillment
- Using Rent Manager, the housing software, to accurately enter biographical tenant data, move-in/move-out dates and be able to perform accurate calculations for rental and deposit refund fees
- Using Excel to create notes in spreadsheets for, not limited to, reference or action dates for shared users and Management reporting
- Monitor emails from Rent Manager, prioritizing service issues placed by tenants. Promptly place service request into Facilities Services Work Order System, categorize requests in Rent Manager and notify tenants that a work order has been submitted
- Facilitate incoming student requests from email and telephone. Use professionalism and have basic knowledge on Housing accommodations and applications
- Use the housing door lock software (Persona) to code/recode room cards and trouble shoot basic lock issues
