About Us: Either/Or, a sister project to Lua Brewing, is a quality over-all, elevated yet familiar, new restaurant looking forward to pushing boundaries set for food and beverage craft, community involvement, and atmosphere in Des Moines. Our primary focus rests on exceeding experience expectations through quality and service and fostering a fun and safe workplace. Expected to open in middle of August to early September!

Duties & Expectations:
- Responsible for the set up, operation, and cleanliness of the restaurant.
- Maintain a positive attitude with coworkers, management, and all back of house staff.
- Responsible for responding to all scheduled shifts and communicate effectively when any shift changes need to be made.
- Ability to take orders from, serve, and respond to all questions patrons may bring forth.
- Know all menu items offered at the restaurant regarding preparation methods, ingredients, portion size, dietary restrictions, and so forth.
- Ability to use Toast POS system.
- Ability to operate the register, collect payments, and make change in-house and to-go orders.
- Follow all sanitation and safety standards set forth by Either/Or.
- Comply with alcohol service guidelines including serving guests responsibly.
- Exhibit strong teamwork, active listening skills, and respect for all who enter the restaurant.
- Meet all uniform standards as specified by Either/Or.
Requirements:
- Ability to read and communicate in English effectively.
- Must be efficient, accurate, and responsible with monetary transactions.
- Must possess the ability to operate the register system and handle/serve food.
- Must be IPACT certified (offered on-site).
- Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time.
- Experience serving/bartending preferred.
