This position requires an experienced professional with technical leadership experience in all aspects of battery testing (validation, safety and abuse). The successful candidate will be responsible for a team of Technical PMs, Engineers and Technicians in all aspects of their operation, delivery, development, and safety. The position is an integral member of Battery Operations leadership and will support and promote the team internally and with cross functional partners.Role :

- Team size (total 16) : o Validation : Lead Engineer (TPM), 5 Engineers, 2 Technicianso Safety and Abuse : Lead Engineer (TPM), 5 Engineers, 2 TechniciansResponsibilities :
- Responsible for leading all Battery Validation and Safety tests in support of Battery Program objectives and Vehicle roadmap
- Develops and promotes collaborative relations with Battery Engineering Design, Program Management and corresponding Powertrain teams
- Leads ‘requirements driven’ multi-program DVP process (Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical) on sub-component, module and pack products
- Leads ‘requirements driven’ product Functional Safety test process on cell, cluster, module and pack level products
- Leads ‘vehicle launch driven’ multi-program PVP process in line with ‘Start of Production’
- Leads delivery of Battery Regulatory testing to support transportation standards and regional homologation (e.g. UN38.3, R100)
- Develops and improves test methodology in conjunction with facility development opportunities
- Develops and improves test capability (Automation, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical) through technical specification in conjunction with Powertrain Development Engineering team
- Responsible for team growth through retention and recruitment
- Provides Technical leadership to team and responsible for supporting team member personal development
- Develops collaborative relations with key external partners (equipment suppliers and test service providers)
- Supports development and use of remote company testing sites
- Develops metrics to drive improvements in test efficiency, maximize on-time test delivery and minimize facility downtime
- Leads ongoing continuous improvement and 5S initiatives
- Leads ongoing development of standard process documentation and reporting systems
- Collaborate with Build and Test Manager to develop test strategy and contribute to budget management
- Responsible for Environmental and Safety initiatives within area of deliverySalary Range : The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.Additional Compensation and Benefits : Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.
