Who You Are:
This exciting career opportunity requires an individual who is industry and customer facing, curious about science and technology as well as commercial, able to understand the market, their requirements and be able to link that back to sales pipeline opportunities for Lucideon M P. Ideally you’ll be based on site in Greenville, SC or Raleigh NC.
Job Purpose:
The primary purpose of this position is to engage with the market to understand their needs and convert that into increasing the sales pipeline. The position engages clients to understand needs, business drivers, and technology trends and translate them into new service offerings for Lucideon. In doing so, the individual will attend shows, visit customers, develop markets and related strategies to increase visibility, present capabilities and professionally represent the company to establish expanded relationships, enable new services, and open new markets.
Core responsibilities include:
- Perform customer engagement activities with focus on emerging industry trends, customer expansion and increased sales pipeline to expand customer base to support growth targets and business goals.
- Create contact networks to promote growth and expand customer base.
- Establish and build new customer / order pipeline to feed sales order intake.
- Leverage relevant industry segments to engage significant client interactions and field-based activities resulting in identifying opportunities to assist in client success.
- Develop strong understanding of Lucideon’s service offering and match existing or develop new offerings (Service Portfolio) to suit high-value market requirements.
- Develop commercialization plans, including investment plans, for allocated areas to identify and enable the launch of new services.
- Engage in field-based commercial activities, leveraging developed contacts to promote new services and identify opportunities for further market or client penetration.
- Provide input to and engage Sales Team to increase order intake (revenue streams).
- Perform market development visits to build client/customer relationships, identify opportunities and expand revenue streams via face-to-face client meetings, relevant conferences/seminars/webinars and speaking as subject matter expert on Lucideon’s offerings.
- Record and track commercial opportunities in the Client Relationship Manager database (CRM). Create reports, updates, and quotes from the CRM as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Key Person Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in material science, physical sciences, engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Experience with client interaction and exposure to product marketing would be desirable.
- An external curiosity around the clients' businesses, markets, and technology.
- Experience in technical sales or marketing is a plus.
- Ability to successfully operate as part of a multi-functional team, including engineering, program management, commercial, and finance.
- Ability to network, establish relationships and assist customers to solve problems is essential to maintain, expand and create customer/client relationships.
- Strong written listening and oral communication skills are desirable.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- U.S. citizenship required due to the nature of certain clients.
- Regular travel to clients and industry events
