Dimmick Group Peterbilt Newburgh, NY is looking for an Outside Parts Sales Representative. DGP is a family-owned and operated truck dealership with nine locations across the Northeast.
Outside Parts Sales/Delivery Job Responsibilities Include:
➢ Visits assigned customers
➢ Prospects for new customers
➢ Communicate parts orders to the counterperson. Advises whether status is stock or emergency based on customer needs.
➢ Advises counterperson on delivery and/or shipping instructions.
➢ Follows up on parts orders to ensure customers are served properly.
➢ Turns in completed call reports, time sheets, and expense reports in the allotted time.
➢ Update customer records to reflect changes to customer names, addresses, etc.
➢ Attends training seminars as required.
➢ Acts as a public relations liaison for the dealership.
➢ Responsible for basic maintenance of the vehicle, including filling the tank with gas, checking oil, cleanliness of vehicle, and assuring all required inspections are performed.
➢ Advises Parts Manager if repairs or maintenance are thought to be required.
➢ Performs additional tasks deemed necessary by management.
Outside Parts Sales Job Requirements:
Some automotive industry experience, experience in the heavy-duty truck industry is preferred
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Valid driver’s license
Must be able to lift over 50 lbs.
High school diploma or equivalent
